Stewardship Story #1 - Holy Spirit is the place to be!

By:
Yolanda Silverio

The following was shared during Worship on Sunday, October 29 by a parishioner in response to "Why I like Holy Spirit Verona."

Good Morning Holy Spirt!  When Father Jerry asked me to speak here at Holy Spirit during this Stewardship Campaign, I said “Absolutely, I am honored."  Although I have been a parishioner since August of this year, it feels more like years.  I have been graciously welcomed by all at Holy Spirit.

An Open Letter from the Reverend Jerry A. Racioppi

This is the first entry in what has been renamed "FJ's Blog" (formerly known as our "Mission Trip Blog").  From time to time Father Jerry will write his thoughts on various subjects.  In this entry he shares information about the message and experieince we strive to provide in our great Sunday School offerings.

Grateful and Proud

Early on in my time as rector at Holy Spirit Verona I was told about a Mission Trip that Holy Spirit Verona sponsored to Grace House on the Mountain in St. Paul, VA.  Although an Episcopal Church sponsored site, I was not familiar with it.  Several of the Holy Spirit parishioners raved about their experience at Grace House.  My second summer (2016) at Holy Spirit, we considered doing a Mission Trip, but we felt we did not have the momentum to have a decent attendance.

A Celebration of Pets

On Sunday, October 1 from 1-4pm Holy Spirit Verona hosted our second annual Celebration of Pets in the Verona Town Hall Square with pet-orientated activities, vendors, crafts-people, and more.  This year we added DJ music provided by Automatic Entertainment, food vendors and a Pet Parade at 2pm with prizes in several categories.  It was a great chance to celebrate our love for all of God's creatures!
