Kitchen Renovation Underway!

As if the excitement of having a new rector isn't enough, there was another interesting turn of events on Sunday, May 17. Cardie Mortimer, the Outreach Committee, and the Wardens announced that plans are underway for a renovation of the downstairs kitchen. The new kitchen will have state-of-the-art appliances for our own events, plus it will be outfitted to serve as a food pantry for the community -- a long-held desire of the Outreach Committee.

Centering Prayer at Holy Spirit

The summer is upon us, and what a great time to learn about a new spiritual practice. Although summer can be a time of rest and relaxation, the busyness of our life continues to make its demands. How do we balance our desire to be in the presence of God with the tasks of everyday life? Centering Prayer may provide a method for you to find divine peace and to be present with the indwelling God. Centering Prayer is a form of Contemplative Prayer, opening our hearts and minds to God, the Ultimate Mystery, beyond any thoughts, words and feelings.
