IN-GIVING / RE-COMMITMENT SUNDAY

The clergy leaders of four of Verona's houses of worship will continue a long-standing tradition in town by hosting an Interfaith Thanksgiving Service on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at 3pm.  The service will be held at Our Lady of the Lake located at 32 Lakeside Avenue and will feature a joint choir made up of voices from First Presbyterian, Our Lady of the Lake, the Verona Islamic Center and Holy Spirit.

Soup for the Soul

"Soup For The Soul" Sold at Fair in The Square 2018

Holy Spirit Verona will once again sell "Soup for the Soul" at Verona's Fair in the Square on Saturday, December 1.  If you can make quarts of soup before then, please do so.  You can pick up containers in the Fellowship Hall.  Write down a list of the ingredients so that our office can make up labels.  The soup can be stored in our lower level freezer until the December 1 event.  Proceeds will go to our Operation Budget.

Kitchen Conversations: Liturgy of the Ordinary

Join us as we pause to intentionally prepare for Advent together.  We will gather in the lower level kitchen for a Pre-Advent Spiritual Enrichment series using "Liturgy of the Ordinary" by Tish Harrison Warren.  Let’s become aware of God’s presence.  How do we embrace the sacred in the ordinary and the ordinary in the sacred?  For six Sundays at 11:30am-ish, we will prepare to prepare the way of the Lord.

Welcome to Church of the Holy Spirit!

map

The red door on an Episcopal (Anglican) Church is traditionally a sign of welcome. Come through the door, and you'll discover that we are a multi-generational, family-centered church. Our congregation worships together, supports each other in times of trouble, celebrates together, and does God’s work in the world.  We are open, welcoming, and inclusive. We invite you to join us.

Finding Holy Spirit

The Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit is located at 36 Gould Street, Verona, and is one block north of Bloomfield Avenue. It is directly across the street from the H.B. Whitehorne Middle School track.

Park in the parking lot and come in the red door. Before each service, you are likely to find our rector standing on the sidewalk or front steps to greet you.
