Early on in my time as rector at Holy Spirit Verona I was told about a Mission Trip that Holy Spirit Verona sponsored to Grace House on the Mountain in St. Paul, VA. Although an Episcopal Church sponsored site, I was not familiar with it. Several of the Holy Spirit parishioners raved about their experience at Grace House. My second summer (2016) at Holy Spirit, we considered doing a Mission Trip, but we felt we did not have the momentum to have a decent attendance.

We've begun a joint community garden with Holy Innocents, West Orange. The plan is that some of the produce grown in Hope Gardens will be given out monthly at our Food Pantry. If you would like to volunteer to help with regular gardening tasks or plan for the expansion, please email Catherine Tamasik.

We chose Holy Spirit because...
"This is my home. All of the activities, all of what we see at church are a collective effort of putting our faith into action. We don’t see any bystanders here; everyone participates. It’s a humbling and wonderful experience to be part of this community.” - Member since 1985

We thought you might want to see what goes on here at Holy Spirit Verona. We have lots of fun while praising God and getting to know one another. We have uploaded a bunch of photos for you to enjoy! Read the captions and you will feel like you were here!
Thanks to our resident photographer (and Sunday School Teacher) Kathleen Gentile. Here are the photos from our Sunday Trifecta: Palm Sunday, Easter Sunday and Flowering Sunday.
